The app
NoiseTrail is built to keep your noise log on your phone. The events it logs, their short clips, your notes, reports and letters are stored on the device. There is no account. Nothing is uploaded to us. A report, a clip or a letter only leaves your phone when you choose to export or share it, and then it goes where you send it.
The app is not available yet. If anything here changes before launch, this page will say so first.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no ads and no tracking scripts.
- The noise meter runs in your browser. It reads the microphone level in the page; no audio is recorded, stored or sent. Its log lives in the open tab until you download or print it. Your level and adjustment settings are saved in your browser only.
- The letter generator builds the letter in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
- Fonts, icons and sound-label files are served from this site, not from third parties.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. We don’t add anything on top.
If you email us, we use your address and message to reply. If you ask to hear about the launch, we use your address for that one email. We don’t sell or share it.
